My Pile of Supplements
It's been a very busy week for us in the Moeder household.
My husband has joined me by starting his own fitness journey. So now we are meal-prepping, macro sharing, step counting and I finally am getting him to go to bed at a normal hour! :) I have to just take a moment to brag on him; he usually goes to sleep around 1-2am and up at 6am, in comparision, I'm asleep at 8pm and up at 4:30am. This past week he's been in bed by 10pm and I'm super proud of him for sticking to this! He's been meal prepping, drinking his water and taking really good care of himself. I'm so impressed.
While we were looking at what supplies he needed, I was going through all the information that I've learned throughout my fitness journey and I thought I would write an entry about all the supplements I take for anyone that is interested!
Before I workout I take just my pre-workout. I've been taking the same brand for three years now, I just love it! It's called, Energized Training Formula. I prefer the watermelon flavor.
I will say that if you don't like it when pre-workouts that cause your body to have that tingle feeling, then you won't like it. I personally really like it because it makes me move more. The more I move, the more it stops tingling.
After I workout, I take BPI branch chain amino acid's. I drink the fruit punch flavor, it's so sweet and refreshing. Drinking BCAA's after a workout helps ease muscle soreness, helps the muscles recover from the workout and help the immune system after putting stress on the body during the workout.
With vitamins, I take quite a few of them. I'm stubborn and like to take the different ones instead of just one multi-vitamin. I can hear the eye rolls now.
I take;
I also take a melatonin supplement at night, only 5mg, to help me fall and stay asleep. The better I sleep, the easier it is for me to wake up at 4:30am, then go to work and be with 14 five year olds all day :)
I hope this helps anyone else looking for more information about supplements. Anything I've said here, I absolutely recommend! If you would like me to go into detail about why I use certain products, let me know and I would love to add another part to this post.

I take;
- Simply Nature Hair, Skin and Nails
- Nature Made Calcium, B 12, and Magniseum
- Ashwaganda CASM 950
- Elderberry tablets
- Turmeric and Curcumin blend
On top of all those, I try to take an Emergen-c to try and keep my immune system up.
Protein powder :) Ah, the greatness that is protein powder. I've tried so many through my last 3 years.
My absolute favorite in terms of flavor is PE Science Cookies'n'Creme. I love it so much, but unfortunately, I have a reaction to casein so I can't have it very much. It tastes so yummy and it bakes really well! The macros for a serving are; 1.5g F, less than a gram of C and 24g P.
My second favorite based on flavor, is Rule 1 Protein Chocolate Fudge. Rule 1 also is really good macro-wise and tastes so good! The macros for one serving (1 scoop) are; 2g F, 4 gC and 25g P.
In terms of which protein powder has the best macros and high protein that I've tried, is Isopure. It has really high protein per scoop and no carbs. Macros for a serving (which is 2 scoops!) are; 1g F, 0g C and 50g P!
